If you are interested in volunteering for the 2009 Run to Feed the Hungry, we'd love to hear from you! Volunteer positions are now CLOSED. Thanks!

We have two great volunteer opportunities:

  1. Pre-Registration and Packet Pickup at REI Stores. Friday, Nov. 20st through Wednesday, Nov. 25th:

    Volunteers help register participants, distribute t-shirts, and much more! Pre-registration takes place at all three local REI stores. Packet Pickup takes place at the Sacramento REI location only. Various shifts are available each day.

  2. Race Day: Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26th from 6:00 am to 11:00 am:

    Volunteers are needed on Thanksgiving Day before, during and after Run to Feed the Hungry. There are a variety of tasks. For instance, you may be needed to pass out t-shirts, assist with registration, direct traffic, distribute water, collect trash, or any other number of duties! Please note you cannot volunteer AND participate in the Run.

Please note all SFBFS facilities are closed on Thanksgiving Day. We do not prepare or serve a meal to the community.
