UNTIMED PRE-REGISTRATION WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE DURING THESE HOURS AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
Runners should line up according to expected pace times. Be courteous to other runners (faster or slower) by lining up in your appropriate zone. Look for signs indicating these zones. Participants in the untimed event must line up behind the "Untimed Participants Line Up Here" banner. Please be aware that the start of the untimed event is a very slow process. If you plan on running (even if you are not fast) we suggest you select the timed option. After all, there is no extra cost for this option!
VIRTUAL RUNNER If you are unable to participate in the actual race but would like to help out, simply register as a virtual runner on the entry form and we will send you an official race t-shirt to say "thanks"! PACKET PICKUP Online and mail registrants must pick up their race packets either at REI Sacramento (1790 Expo Pkwy) between 11/16 and 11/21 or on race day. Packets will not be mailed. AGE DIVISIONS 12 & under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ AWARDS We will recognize the top five men and women finishers in the 10K and top man and woman in the 5K at 10:15 am in the finish area. Awards and prize money will be distributed at this time. The top three winners in each age group can pick up their prizes at the awards tent. In the interest of time, age group winners will not be announced over the PA system. 5K - Overall male and female winners earn $200, merchandise and plaques. First place finishers in each age group receive plaques. Second and third place finishers in each age group receive medals. 10K - Open Prize Money: 1st - $1,000, 2nd - $600, 3rd - $400, 4th - $300, 5th -$200; Masters Prize Money: 1st - $250, 2nd - $150, 3rd - $100. $250 bonus for race record (28:46 for men, 33:00 for women). $1,000 bonus for City of Sacramento 10K record (28:46 for men, 32:44 for women). Plaques and merchandise will be awarded to division winners. Second and third place winners receive medals. The first 20,000 registered runners and walkers are guaranteed a long-sleeved t-shirt in their size through Wednesday, 11/21. There is no size guarantee for race day registrants. ELITE ATHLETE INFORMATION We reserve a limited number of complimentary entries and accomodations for qualified elite runners. To be considered, you must have run a certified 10K under 30:30 (men) and 35:00 (women) within the past year. Finish line photos provided by PLEDGES Collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers to include along with your entry form and fee. Check out the My Fundraising section for more information. Details available at sacbee.com. PARKING/DIRECTIONS Please be advised that the CSUS J Street entrance will be closed to all vehicles. Plenty of parking is available on CSUS grounds, however you must enter CSUS from College Town Drive at the back of campus. From Capital City Freeway, Highway 99 and Highway 50 East - take Highway 50 eastbound, exit at 65th Street. Left (north) on 65th Street 0.5 miles to Folsom Blvd. Right on Folsom Blvd 0.5 miles to State University Drive East. Then follow signs. From Highway 50 westbound - exit at Howe Avenue. Cross intersection onto College Town Drive and follow signs. Additional parking exists on the residential streets between 56th and 58th Streets, between M and H Streets. Please allow plenty of time for parking.
