Fundraising makes a difference

This year it is our goal to have 100% participation in fundraising! We are challenging each Run to Feed the Hungry participant to raise much needed additional funds for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. 

How can I fundraise?

Once you register for Run to Feed the Hungry, a fundraising page is automatically generated for you!

To update your individual fundraising page:

  • Click Sign in using your RaceRoster username and password or through Facebook
  • Click on the Pledge Participant link
  • Search for yourself via name or e-mail
  • Click Edit Page
    • Upload a photo
    • Create a fundraising goal (You will receive a thank you gift from Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services if you raise $250 or more)
    • Add a few sentences about why you're participating in the event and why you believe in Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
  • Share your fundraising link!

To update your team fundraising page:

  • Click Sign In using your RaceRoster username and password or through Facebook
  • Click on the View Teams Link
  • Search for your team by team name
  • Click Edit Page
    • Upload a photo
    • Create a fundraising goal (You will receive a thank you gift from Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services if you raise $250 or more)
    • Add a few sentences about why you're participating in the event and why you believe in Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services
  • Share your fundraising link!

To make a pledge toward an individual participant or team member and help them reach their fundraising goal:

  • Click on the Pledge Participant link
  • Search for your favorite participant by name or e-mail
  • Find the correct participant and click the yellow Pledge button
  • Complete the donation section (amount of gift) and payment information
  • Click submit and receive a donation receipt
  • All pledges will appear in the event's total money raised thermometer

Where does the money go?

100% of all funds raised go directly to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. As a result of this event's fundraising success, SFBFS offers services free of charge to families in need in our community all year long. 

How can I support a participant?

Click here to find the participant you would like to support and help them reach their fundraising goal.

You may also mail your fundraising contribution. Print and mail this fundraising card to help them reach their fundraising goal. Be sure to include the participant's name and fundraising number on the form.

After December 1, please donate online at www.sacramentofoodbank.org.

Is my donation tax deductible?

All donations are 100% tax deductible. Once your donation has been processed, you will receive a thank you letter with our organization's Tax ID on it. 

Are thank you gifts awarded to fundraisers?

Everyone who raises $250 or more will receive a gift from Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services! 

How can I Stuff the Turkey? 

Our goal for funds raised this year is $150,000. Every time you make a donation you will help us stuff the turkey. Fill out a Donation Form to start your contribution. Make sure to check back weekly to watch the turkey grow!
